Relevance: Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is an interleukin, a type of cytokine signaling molecule in the immune system, belongs to the IL-2 family. It is a powerful immunoregulatory lymphokine produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation. IL-2/IL-2R signaling is required for T-cell proliferation and other fundamental functions that are essential for the immune response. IL-2 stimulates growth and differentiation of B-cells, NK cells, lymphokine-activated killer cells, monocytes, macrophages and oligodendrocytes.

Notes: Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4℃ for up to one week.
Function: Produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation, this protein is required for T-cell proliferation and other activities crucial to regulation of the immune response. Can stimulate B-cells, monocytes, lymphokine-activated killer cells, natural killer cells, and glioma cells.
Involvement in disease: A chromosomal aberration involving IL2 is found in a form of T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) . Translocation t (4;16) (q26;p13) with involves TNFRSF17.

Form: Lyophilized powder
Buffer: Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm Filtered 10 mM sodium citrate, pH 4.0
Reconstitution: We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
