Product Type: Polyclonal Antibody
Target Names: ARRB1
Aliases: ARR1; arrestin 2; arrestin beta 1; beta-arrestin-1;
Background:
Functions in regulating agonist-mediated G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling by mediating both receptor desensitization and resensitization processes. During homologous desensitization, beta-arrestins bind to the GPRK-phosphorylated receptor and sterically preclude its coupling to the cognate G-protein; the binding appears to require additional receptor determinants exposed only in the active receptor conformation.

Isotype: IgG
Conjugate: Non-conjugated
Clonality: Polyclonal
Uniport ID: P49407
Host Species: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of Serine 412 (T-G-S (p) -P-Q) derived from Human Arrestin 1.
Immunogen Species: Human
Applications: ELISA, WB, IHC
Tested Applications: ELISA, WB, IHC;WB:1:500-1:1000, IHC:1:50-1:100
Purification Method: Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates. Antibodies were purified by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. Non-phospho specific antibodies were removed by chromatogramphy using non-phosphopeptide.
