  • APOBEC1 Antibody
  • Immunofluorescence staining of HepG2 cells with CSB-PA001919LA01HU at 1:66, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) .

Product Type: Polyclonal Antibody

Target Names: APOBEC1

Aliases: C->U-editing enzyme APOBEC-1 (EC 3.5.4.36) (Apolipoprotein B mRNA-editing enzyme 1) (HEPR) (mRNA (cytosine (6666) ) deaminase 1), APOBEC1

Background: Catalytic component of the apolipoprotein B mRNA editing enzyme complex which is responsible for the postranscriptional editing of a CAA codon for Gln to a UAA codon for stop in the APOB mRNA. Also involved in CGA (Arg) to UGA (Stop) editing in the NF1 mRNA. May also play a role in the epigenetic regulation of gene expression by participating in DNA demethylation.
