  • CHML Antibody
  • Immunofluorescence staining of U251 cells with CSB-PA005357LA01HU at 1:133, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) .

Product Type: Polyclonal Antibody

Target Names: CHML

Aliases: Rab proteins geranylgeranyltransferase component A 2 (Choroideremia-like protein) (Rab escort protein 2) (REP-2), CHML, REP2

Background: Substrate-binding subunit (component A) of the Rab geranylgeranyltransferase (GGTase) complex. Binds unprenylated Rab proteins and presents the substrate peptide to the catalytic component B. The component A is thought to be regenerated by transferring its prenylated Rab back to the donor membrane. Less effective than CHM in supporting prenylation of Rab3 family.

Isotype: IgG

Conjugate: Non-conjugated
